INTERFAITH MEN'S WINTER SHELTER
St. Paulus/People Place Services participates in a collaborative
effort with faith communities to provide 6 months of shelter for
men during the winter months. Each church provides about 30 days
of shelter which includes breakfast and dinner daily for up to 80
men. Volunteer groups bring food, prepare and serve meals daily.
The Winter shelter offers men a safe, clean and caring
environment as well as offering volunteers opportunities to serve
in the community.
Men are often times recruited for temporary work or volunteer
services within the church and the human services programs as a
result of the relationships formed during the project.
