INTERNSHIP PROTECT/TOOLWORKS, INC.
Current Project
This project provides hands on training opportunities in the
kitchen for 4-8 developmentally
disabled individuals so they can acquire practical experience in
order to
eventually seek adequate permanent employment that will allow
independent
living.
Future Projects
We are seeking funds to pay more trainees while on job training
at PPSI/St. Paulus in the Printshop, Bed and Breakfast, day care
center, office, and kitchen.
JOB TRAINING -Home Health Aide
Current Status
Single mothers, homeless and low income women receive training
and comprehensive support to while attending a one year home
health aide training program. Support includes day care, daily
stipend, bus fare and tutoring.
Future Projects
- A Mentoring program (adopt a family for a year)
- Expand to include other types of training programs
- Offer parenting classes
